UCF Apps

UCF Apps provides you access to software you need for your coursework from any device, at any time, from any where.  Your apps are available on desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.  UCF Apps is a multi-year pilot project funded by the UCF Technology Fee.

How Do I Get Started?

Q. Who has access to UCF Apps?

  •  All current students, faculty and staff have access to most of the available software applications.

Q. How do I get connected to UCF Apps?

To use UCF Apps on a computer running Windows or Mac OS:

    1. Visit http://my.apps.ucf.edu
    2. Enter your NID and NID password
    3. Install the Citrix Receiver client when prompted
    4. When the install is finished, add the applications you need by clicking the “+” on the left-hand side of the browser window
    5. Start using your apps!

To use UCF Apps on your Android or iOS device:

    1. Go to your device app store
    2. Search for, download, and install the free Citrix Receiver app
    3. Click add account and fill out the following information:
      • Address: my.apps.ucf.edu
      • Username: Your NID
      • Password: Your NID Password
      • Domain: net
    4. Add the applications you need
    5. Start using your apps!

Accessing and Saving Files with UCF Apps

There are two recommended ways to access and work with you documents:

    1. Your Knightsemail OneDrive account (O:).  If you have a knightsmail account, you have access to 1 terabyte of cloud storage! Click here for instructions on how to set it up.
    2. Your Knight Drive (K:) is networked file storage that is available on every device that you have UCF Apps installed, as well as the Library, Tech Commons, and other campus public computer labs.
